What is included in the blood draw service?

Our service includes a professional, in-home visit by a licensed nurse with 27 years of experience. We provide all necessary clinical supplies (needles, tubes, sanitization), the blood collection itself, and the secure, temperature-controlled transport of your samples to a certified local laboratory.

How do my lab results get to my doctor?

We personally deliver your samples to a local Atlanta laboratory (such as Quest or LabCorp). Once processed, the lab sends the results directly to your ordering physician’s office or portal, exactly as if you had gone to a traditional clinic.

How long does a typical in-home visit take?

Most mobile blood draws are completed within 20 to 30 minutes. We prioritize a calm, unhurried environment to ensure your comfort and the integrity of the sample collection.

Is this service covered by insurance?

Ready Nurse Healthcare is a private-pay concierge service. While the laboratory (Quest/LabCorp) will typically bill your insurance for the testing of the blood, our mobile “Convenience Fee” for travel and professional collection is paid out-of-pocket at the time of booking.

Do I need a doctor's order for a blood draw?

Yes. To ensure your tests are processed correctly and legally by the laboratory, we require a written requisition or lab slip from your healthcare provider. You can securely upload a photo of your order during the booking process.

I have "difficult veins." Can you perform the blood draw?

With 27 years of clinical nursing experience, I specialize in “difficult sticks.” I use a gentle, patient-centered approach and advanced techniques to ensure a successful and comfortable draw, even for patients who have had trouble in the past.

Can you provide blood draws for children?

Absolutely. We provide mobile phlebotomy for patients of all ages. Performing the draw in the safety and familiarity of your home significantly reduces anxiety for children and stress for parents.

Do I need to fast before my appointment?

This depends on the specific tests your doctor has ordered (e.g., Lipid Panels or Glucose). Please check your lab requisition for “Fasting” instructions. If you are unsure, we will review your order during your confirmation call to ensure you are properly prepared.
